EP - Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider

CHOC Children’s Specialists in affiliation with the University of California, Irvine has an exciting job opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider interested in Pediatric Cardiology with a focus in Electrophysiology to join our team of 12 cardiologists and 2 pediatric electrophysiologists. Under the direction of the attending cardiologist and practicing within developed Standardized Procedures and Process Protocols, the Advanced Practice Provider will evaluate, diagnose and treat cardiology medical patients. Central to the role, the Advanced Practice Provider will assist in developing and implementing plans of care for all cardiology patients. The Advanced Practice Provider functions in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary cardiac team, while also providing consultation and education to patients and their families.

The successful candidate will be eligible for a CA Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with DEA registration, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification and at least years of experience in direct pediatric patient care. Previous experience as a nurse practitioner with cardiology specialty preferred. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and excellent critical thinking and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and work cohesively and collaboratively as member of the interdisciplinary team; effective change agent.
