Leadless Pacing in Pediatric and ACHD Patients

Paces_Logo
Dear PACES membership,

Leadless technology in the pediatric and ACHD patient populations has gathered much interest in the recent years. Fortunately, PACES membership shares that enthusiasm and our clinicians are seeking data to drive decision making.
The recent approved study by Victor Waldmann shares inclusion criteria of a previously approved PACES protocol by Maully Shah. As such, and in the spirit of collaboration, we ask that all investigators seeking to contribute to this study reach out to Maully Shah (shahm@chop.edu). Those who have submitted data to Maully's study do not need to take action at this time. During/after our PACES and HRS meeting, we plan to gather as a group with the study investigators to seamlessly combine these research efforts. As we all know, leadless devices, like many therapies in the pediatric population, are not FDA approved. Therefore, research in the space is and will be retrospective.

Please contact me with any questions regarding these studies.

Best,
Pete Aziz
