Holter Monitors for Children

Holter monitors are noninvasive rhythm monitors that record every heart beat over a certain period; usually 24-48 hours. Electrode stickers are placed and connected with wires to small ECG recording device or a large patch is attached to your skin. It can be used for routine surveillance or for suspected arrhythmias. Depending on the type of monitor used, you may have to avoid certain activities due to damage to the device while wearing the device.
